In line with our option for the poor and through their own initiative, the Fiorals-Dev leaders offered their free services: building and renovating dilapidated and destroyed houses, farm works and other urgent needs that must be responded to. The Hijas de Jesus community is supporting this project by sharing some materials from the donation received and with some counterparts from thebeneficiaries themselves. Instead of paying the carpenters and labor, they decided to have an “alay kapamilya spirit” among themselves. So, every Saturday a certain “bayanihan” activities goes on. At this time, four houses and one chapel in Tubos are already in the process of finishing.

The following are the beneficiaries: Mr. and Mrs. Dodo Bullas, Mr. and Mrs. Emie Maglunsod, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Cervantes, Mr. and Mrs. Restituto Borres and a Chapel in Tubos.

In Tubos, the FIORALS also had their “bayanihan” spirit for the construction of the new chapel. Those who have horses offered to get sand from the river. It was a very nice scene because all the people in Tubos, young and old, together with the FIORALS helped in building and in the cleaning of the new chapel.. Indeed, the spirit of Mo. Foundress is very much alive in their hearts in the way they live their commitment of helping one another and building their community to progress to becoming more mature Christians.

Last August 8, 2008 was the blessing of the house of Dodo Bullas (our driver) which was officiated by Fr. Willie Tuquib. The family of Dodo was very happy because it was the first time that they received many visitors in their newly built house to be one with them in such a significant celebration.
