The Visit of Mother General Ma. Inez Furtado and Clara Echarte to the Formation House of Taiwan ViceProvince in the Philippines

March 2, 2010.  Mother General Ma. Inez Furtado and Sr. Clara Echarte arrived in the Philippines for their visit to the Formation House of the Viceprovince of Taiwan. The Sisters from the communities at Manresa Retreat House compound, together with the Chinese Sisters gathered in front of the Chinese Formation House to wait for the arrival of the Sisters. Sisters from Manresa School also came and joined in the delightful moment of welcome. The  Sisters  greeted Mother General and Sr. Clara with warm embraces and kisses as soon as the two alighted from the car. After some moments, all the Sisters proceeded inside the house for more brief greetings. The Sisters gathered around with big smiles on their faces, and listening expectantly on Mother General’s brief updates regarding the canonization of Mother Candida. Everyone was happy at this memorable event when we feel  very concretely that famous word of Mother Candida: “The world is too small for my desires…” as the two Sisters bring to us the other realities of the whole Congregation. We look forward to the day when Mother General will be with us on March 6, 2010 for the gathering of Sisters from the whole Province.

One Sister asked: "How many sisters will go to Rome for the canonization event?" Everybody clapped their hands and joyfully laughed... "...
