Hinampang ’08…One Vision, one Dream
Hinampang ’08…One Vision, one Dream was this year’s theme of the one-week Intramural Games in CHJ. It started on October 6 and ended on October 10, 2008. The week commenced with the celebration of the Literary-Musical contests. The said celebration gave the students varied opportunities to display and share their different skills and intelligences in singing, dancing, oration, declamation and spelling. On October 8 we had the opening ceremony of the Intramural games. With their colorful T-Shirts, the students had a team- parade and the morning was highlighted by the rhythmic dances from the students of the High School Department. Parlor games, indoor games and ball games brought much joy and fun to students as they played them and victoriously struggled to win. The Intramurals was peaceful. Students enjoyed the games even without being competitive with one another. We were of one vision to have a foretaste of brotherhood and fraternity between and among students and teachers through the different activities held during the Intramurals. We were of one dream to make that vision a reality. To a certain extent the students were relating well with each other and with their teachers despite some normal difficulties encountered during the games and implementation of rules.

On-Going Formation Program Of The Teachers
Msgr. Joemarie Delgado from the Seminary of St. Vincent Ferrer.
For the on-going formation program of the teachers, the Administration asked the help of Msgr. Joemarie Delgado from the Seminary of St. Vincent Ferrer. The Administration saw the need for the faculty and staff to be formed in the Catholic Faith since they are directly involved and engaged in the lives of the students. Msgr. Delgado will be conducting spiritual formation sessions with the faculty and staff to help them appreciate their Lay Vocation, the Church and the basic elements of our Faith. He was also asked to help the teachers and staff members understand and live in their daily lives the First Principle and Foundation of the Ignatian Spirituality (since he is a Jesuit trained priest). His first module situated the faculty and staff on the Church as communion and mission. He explained the Church as communion by introducing to them the mystery of the Holy Trinity. He said that in order for them to appreciate the mystery of the Holy Trinity, they need to experience real unity, love and sharing in diversity of personalities and functions. From there he has introduced to them the “BEC Culture” that the Third Synod of the Archdiocese of Jaro has envisioned. Msgr. Joemarie Delgado will come to CHJ for the faculty and staff spiritual formation twice a month.
