THE BLESSING OF THE NEW CHJ GYMNASIUM

          In the morning of October 3, 2008, the new school gymnasium was blessed by Fr. Joel Eslabra. The blessing was witnessed by the parents, alumni, students, teachers, staff, maintenance personnel and sisters. It was followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. A simple snacks was served to all the employees to celebrate and thank God for the new gymnasium.

The Ribbon Cutting

          We feel very happy with the newly constructed gymnasium for the following reasons:

  • the school finally has a better space for the P.E. classes, sports and other recreational activities for the students especially for the high school boys who are rapidly growing in size;
  • the gymnasium meets the required standards for sports like basketball, badminton and volleyball;
  • the new gymnasium provides a more conducive ambience for outer activities like intramural games, family day and celebration of the Holy Eucharist;
  • most of all it protects our students from getting so exposed to the heat of the sun while playing sports and other recreational games.

          We thank God for all the support of those people who made this project possible. We thank also the previous General and Povincial governments who approved of the construction of the school gymnasium “ All for the greater glory of God!”

Just a note:

          The gymnasium is situated in the former NKP building. The NKP Department has been transferred to the first floor of the Antonia Bandres Building B along with the grades 1 and 2.
