After the Mass, program and reception followed at Villa Inmaculada, Intramuros. Msgr. Vicente D. Bauson, Director, Campus Ministry-Archdiocese of Manila in his Pearl Anniversary Message mentioned that this occasion is a time not only to reminisce the good old times but also to affirm that the Campus Ministry has found the pearl of great price, the very person of Jesus encountered in the ministry’s efforts of building faith-communities on campus. He reiterated that this is also the opportune time to celebrate in thanksgiving the abundant blessings God has bestowed on the ministry. He acknowledged the distinctive contributions of the different schools, congregations, organizations and individuals who have been instrumental in this ministry and have supported it through these years. Lastly, ‘Monsi’ as Msgr. Bauson is fondly called, gave special acknowledgment to the past and present campus ministers and chaplains of the ministry and most especially gave praise to the Triune God.
Indeed the Campus Ministry on its 30th year of ministering on campus is
Remembering the past with gratitude . . . .
Celebrating the present with joy . . . .
Moving into the future with deep trust and confidence in
God , Who is ever faithful.

CAMPUS MINISTERS IN BAGUIO..
Ten religious campus ministers attended the seminar-workshop “Prophets to the Young” from June 12-15, 2009 at Mount of Peace Retreat House, Baguio City.
“Prophets to the Young” is an initial formative journey of the new religious campus ministers who are called to explore and express the religious prophecy to the young generation of today. This is a journey of discovering the call of the religious campus minister to live out the prophecy in a post-modern world.
The new religious campus ministers have found this seminar-workshop helpful in terms of providing a vision and a sense of direction that will encourage and guide the other members of the academic community to contribute in the building of a faith-community on campus.

MLQU -MASS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
In a time honored tradition, the Manuel Luis Quezon University inaugurated the new academic year 2009 - 2010 in the annual celebration of the Mass of the Holy Spirit seeking God to bestow blessings and wisdom upon the educative community. It was held on July 2, 2009 in the Chapel of the Risen Christ with Fr. Dave Clay, MSSC MLQU Chaplain as the main presider and homilist and was attended by representatives from the different stake holders.

As we officially begin this Academic year, we are encourage to rediscover that fire of the Holy Spirit which is in us, to re-kindle the love of learning, to re-dedicate oneself to the search for Truth and to assist and serve fellow students, staff and faculty in achieving the goals of our mission.
With the Spirit grounding us with one foot on the solid ground of the 61 years long past, and the other raised, ready to step into the future!
