CANONIZATION OF MOTHER CANDIDA

A renewed call to grow in Christ

Canonization LOGO and THEME explained...

The MOTT0: En Jesus todo lo tenemos. [In Jesus we have everything.]

This phrase is found in Letter no.13 of Mother Candida, handwritten and addressed to Sr. Antonia Robles Hernandez, written from Tolosa on December 9, 1889.

Although this letter was addressed to one Sister, at the beginning Mother Candida wrote as if addressing the whole Congregation, with very affectionate words which made transparent that which, for her, was essential. This was how the letter was expressed:

"Yes, dear sisters, we must be true daughters of Jesus, imitating his virtues, not to displease even in the smallest thing such a good Father, in Him we have everything and without Him, everything is lost. Faith, faith, intense, constant and eternal faith, and with this, to work without rest, as everything passes and only God suffices. Oh, dear daughter Antonia, if only I could imprint on this paper what my soul feels! ‘It is not possible, and so I can only say to you that the Lord our God is great, very great [indeed], and he works great things in his creatures."

Explanation of the LOGO

The motto is a phrase from the handwritten letter of Mother Cadndida (no. 13). It expresses the centrality of Jesus in the life of Mother Foundress and in our spirituality.

The circular form symbolizes perfection, but in this case, the circle is not closed: the world is not perfect, it needs persons who like Mother Candida, announce, live and witness that Jesus (IHS) is the LIFE in whom we have everything.

The blue color is the color of deep experiences, of the infinite, of dreams, of purity, of faith.

The yellow color is the color of light, of the will, of energy. It is a jovial, affective color, as if symbolizing the strength of the charism in the world, and the light that it can offer.

The motto phrase of Mother Candida is within the world, symbolizing that our charism is inserted in reality. That is why the contact of the charism with the world converts itself into light, into energy.

Note: The logo presented below which is without the letters “canonizacion 2010", could be used according to circumstances.
