MOTHER FOUNDRESS’ CELEBRATION

Indeed it was a joyful day for all the families and communities of Hijas de Jesus as they celebrated the  feast day of our Mo.Foundress: Candida Ma. de Jesus. In Catarman, the community had a different way of celebrating this time. The Fiorals-Dev members opted to donate Php 3,000.00 to Calamity Fund of the Province instead of  the usual “salu-salu” or agape which they have been doing for the fast few years. They chose to donate the amount because they were moved by what had happened to the typhoon victims in Iloilo . They said that even in their poverty, they want to share the blessings which they received from God.

On August 9, the day of Mother Foundress, the members of FIORALS-Dev helped in the cleaning of the Parish Church as their town fiesta is fast approaching. This is also another expression of their love for Mo. Foundress. According to them,  Mother Foundress was service-oriented and generous so they want to imitate her by their service to the Church. The F.I. Sisters offered them lunch. After lunch,  Sr. Felisa Molina, F.I., the Provincial Vocation Ministry Coordinator, who was here, conducted a search-in.  She shared something about the life of Mo. Foundress and had interaction with the participants. Then after this activity, the community had a little party with some dancing and singing. Every one was happy and contented with their simple celebration for it was in its simplicity that had made it a more  significant and meaningful  experience for them. .
