The first day was allotted for prayer and reflection on the joys as well as challenges one faced in the ministry on the joys as well as challenges one faced in the ministry, things to be grateful of, area of growth and areas needing improvement. Sharing on the fruit of the individual prayer in the plenary ensued. The later part of the day was spent on reporting by Vocation promoters of each region (Metro Manila, Panay, and Mindanao) regarding the updates of the year’s end vocation promotion activities in the respective local F.I> communities on the local Churches ( diocese, archdiocese) where the FI community is collaborating with in each region.
During the second day, planning happened on the following areas:
Committee: A- posters, tarpaulin, brochures
B- videos, bookmarks, calling cards, etc.
C – editing and production of modules
D – PVM Activities for the year (local, regional, national)
The encounter was not simply a cerebral activity for the sister – participants but served as venue as well in strengthening fraternity, friendship, camaraderie and teamwork among PVM members providing spaces of fun and laughter in the process of sharing experiences in the vocation ministry and the dreams, desires and hopes that go with it.
A deep sense of gratitude to God for the gift of the members’ religious vocation and for the countless young people whose sacred stories and presence made the vocation ministry alive and meaningful; a desire for active and visible lay collaboration in the ministry especially participants in the VOC PVM National assemblies, regional encounters to come; begging from the Lord of the Harvest to send the Church and the Congregation good vocations to the religious and priestly life and for the grace of deeper trust and commitment in the ministry were among the capturing moments left by the encounter for every participant as the assembly parted foe their assigned mission areas to continue witnessing the poor and humble Jesus, proclaiming the Risen Christ in bringing the people closer to God.
