CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR  NEW PRIEST, AN ALUMNUS OF ST. JOSEPH SCHOOL, GUIMARAS!!!

Last October 26, 2009, ten young men were ordained to the priesthood at St. Clement Parish in La Paz, Iloilo. One of those was Rev. Fr. Nathaniel Gentizon, an alumnus of St. Joseph School, Jordan,  Guimaras Island. Fr. Nathaniel hails from Nueva Valencia in this island.

As a thanksgiving offering, Fr. Nathaniel said his very first Holy Mass at the parish of St. Michael, the Archangel, Jordan, Guimaras last November 2, 2009. Fr. Noe Lozada, parish priest of St. Michael proudly introduced him to his parishioners during this special Mass. Fr. Nathaniel, on his part, gave his special thanks to Fr. Noe for giving him this opportunity to have his first Eucharist among the parishioners, family and friends and the Hijas de Jesus Sisters who were present last November 2, 2009. He also thanked many people and events in his life that led him to this moment. He recalled his being born on the feast of St. Michael, baptized in this parish of St. Michael too. He also thanked his mentors at St. Joseph School, particularly the Hijas the Jesus Sisters who were very much part of his formation. He expressed his gratefulness to Mother Candida Maria de Jesus, our Mother Foundress, who, he said, inspired him to follow the Lord in the priesthood.

Fr. Nathaniel announced that he is assigned as assistant parish priest of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
