In the visit of our Mother General, Sr. Mª Inez Furtado F.I. to CHJ, I felt thespirituality of Blessed Candida Maria de Jesus in us

I was amazed by Mother General in her simplicity, She is the Superior General of the Hijas de Jesus but I find her more as a mother. Mother General’s presence in CHJ made me feel the maternal love of Mother Candida and I feel so blessed for that.

We, as a section, were so happy and excited which moved us to make a welcome banner for her, we felt so blessed and honored to have her in our school not only because she was the Superior General of the F.I. Congregation but she was more a mother and a sister in Jesus  and through Mo. General’s personality we felt the spirit of Mo. Candida’ s  simplicity, kindness and fraternal love.

Mo. General’s Canonical Visit to CHJ for me was a great blessing for the whole school. I was touched by her kind personality and I can feel that she was a messenger from God whom He sent to make us feel important in the F.I. Family.

During the visit of our dearest Superior General Sr.  Mª Inez Furtado F.I. , I was so happy and honored to greet her “Bienvenidas” in my dear CHJ. For me, our dear Mother Foundress was in her. Sr. Mª Inez really touched my life, I was so amazed in her simple gestures. Indeed, she is really a very holy woman, her gestures of simplicity and holiness made me realize that holiness can be attained in doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. I will always treasure the memories of her canonical visit and I will always keep her close to my heart.
