MANRESA SCHOOL CELEBRATES FAMILY DAY 2008
Several days before the Family celebration, a lot of preparations had been undertaken by the whole educative community of Manresa School, including their presentations for the cultural shows, and the different booths for foods and drinks, the usual scenes during this event.
On November 29, 2008, the official launching of the events started with the Dancercise in the gym, participated in by parents, teachers, staff, Sisters, etc. This followed the Parade of the MS Family and at 8:00AM the Field Demonstration taken part by Pre-schoolers, Elementary and High School Students.![]()
There were different features inside the school campus, such as free Medical Clinic, Arts and Crafts Activities participated by Pre-schoolers, Grades I and II pupils in the Pre-school building. There were Variety Game shows in the canteen.
In the afternoon was the Cultural Show at 2:00 p.m. until 3:30pm.Sisters from Manresa Retreat House and from Tahanan Candida Maria came to witness the cultural show. Priests from St. Paul also came as they have put up their own stall for sales of their religious items, etc.
Other activities were the Variety Game Show, MAD Science Show, participated in by Grades I - III pupils. There was another MAD Science participated in by Pre-schoolers, Variety Game Show held in the canteen. Nutrition Clinic for all parents. Another Cultural Show: “Stage show at iba pa” was held at MS Auditorium at 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
On Sunday, November 30, there was a Liturgical Mass celebrated by Bishop Jesse Mercado. Before starting the Mass he blessed the Advent wreath to set the beginning of the liturgical Season of Advent. During the Offertory, there was a long procession gifts offered by families. Before the Mass ended, the MSPA president acknowledged the presence of Bishop Mercado, Sisters, parents, students, etc. and thanked them all.
The Mass was followed by the Cheering Exhibition of the Staff, pre-schoolers all Elementary and High School pupils. There were other activities that took place after the cheering exhibition, such as Karate Kata sports Clinic, Driving Seminar, Beauty Clinic, Variety Game Show, Costume Parade from Pre-school to Grade II pupils. You could have seen the participants with their beautiful costumes, one could hardly recognize them. Then there was the "Bida Sa Eskwela" participated by Grade III to Grade VI pupils. A showcase of MS talents was also presented in the MS Auditorium. Kite flying contest from Grades III to VI pupils also was one of the contests held in the field. There was Front Act Students Band in the Gym, Concert :Juan Pable Dream, Up Dharma Down and Paramita. There were also fireworks at 7:30 pm.
After all these activities, there was the Agape for MSPA,
Special Guests, Sisters, teachers, maintenance, guards,
students as a sign of appreciation for those who had
helped during these two days affair.
