Mother Candida's Feastday. My heart is filled with deep gratitude
to God for the gift of Mo. Candida to me, through you.
Today's occasion brings me once again to a deeper reflection
of God's great love for me as I reflect on the life of Mo. Candida.
I thank Her for making me Her "adopted daughter"
during those times when I needed a mother's love and care.

SHOTOKU SAYS THANKS...

Dear Sr. Georgita,

We arrived in Japan on January 22 safely after a 10-day educational trip to the Philippines. I am happy to say that this tour has been a success because we have reached our main objective of allowing the students to have a closer encounter with the students of our sister schools in the Philippines: Colegio de las Hijas de Jesus, Iloilo City; St. James Catholic high School, Maasin; Sacred Heart School-Hijas de Jesus, Cebu City; and Manresa School, Parañaque City.

The home stay, the stage presentations, the hearty welcome and preparation of the teachers and students in each school we visited and the assistance of all the sisters during our stay had been a great help and support. We were happy to visit Manresa Retreat House too where the students prayed and met a bigger number of sisters.

 

Thank you very much for facilitating the program for us. We hope to continue this significant experience with our sister schools again in the future.

 

Please extend my regards and gratitude to all the sisters.

It has been three long years since I left NS my first home base as a professional teacher. I thank Mother Foundress, Candida Ma. de Jesus for sharing with me her legacy and mission thru the Hijas de Jesus Sisters. I greatly thank the young people who in one way or another shared their precious lives and faith so that in our simple way we can change paths and seek the loving arms of Jesus our Lord. Thank you NS for keeping me inspired even at a distance. Hail NS Graduates.
