CIUDAD NUEVO: WHERE IT WANTS TO GO
by: Sr. Lillian Lim, FI
Last 18 & 20 June 2011, thirteen core group members of the Mini Parish Pastoral Council of Ciudad Nuevo Subdivision in Naic-Cavite underwent a seminar-workshop on formulating their Vision-Mission Statement. They were helped by volunteer teachers from Manresa School, Parañaque City namely Ms. Luisa Mandario & Belen Raymundo & the Hijas de Jesús Sisters—Rachel Bade & Lillian Lim. Before the seminar-workshop began, Mr & Mrs Lyn Sy (the couple who first introduced the Naic apostolate to the Hijas de Jesús Congregation) visited the subdivision particularly the house they rented for the Sisters & talked with the Sisters, volunteer teachers & some core group members. They continue to give their support in whatever way they can to help build the community of Ciudad Nuevo. On the evening of 18 June, the seminar-workshop began. The activities were mostly to help the participants grow in knowledge & awareness of themselves & their community. On the second day, the session began in the morning & ended past noon. The core group members were able to formulate their Vision-Mission Statement. They plan to present the result of their work to their parish priest for comments. Having a Vision-Mission Statement is important for any organization for this identifies the group & its reason for being.

St. Candida Maria de Jesus Cipitria y Barriola was born & baptized as Juana Josefa , on May 31 1845, in Berrospe, Andoain, Guipuzcoa, Spain. [Read More ]
