NAZARETH SCHOOL CELEBRATES  MO. FOUNDRESS' DEATH ANNIVERSARY
August 5-9, 2008

In remembrance and gratitude for Mo. Foundress, the Nazareth School Educative community had a triduum on August 5-7, 2008 to celebrate  her 96th death anniversary. The  triduum was sponsored by FI kids, FI youth and the teachers and staff.

On August 8, the whole Educative community had the Eucharistic celebration at the chapel, presided by Fr. Amner Zaragosa, a guest priest of Our Lady of  Loreto Parish.. After the mass,  tents were put up by the students for “salu-salo “in the morning.. Food was overflowing through the courtesy of the parents and students. The tricycle drivers and poor families in Alcantara street had their share too of the generosity of the Nazarethans. After the “salu-salo”, there were games and trivia.

In the afternoon the Educative community had a para-liturgy in the chapel followed by a game of  puzzles on the life of Blessed Candida. How every one enjoyed solving puzzles and learning as well the life of Mother Candida!

Aug. 9, 2008-  “Araw Para Sa Mga Kabataan At Matatanda”
Sponsored by the NS Alumni in collaboration with NS students

Every year during the feast of Mo. Foundress is a commitment for the alumni to feed the poor children who come to NS every Saturday for catechism, and the women adults too. This is the Alumni’s way of remembering Juanita’s love for the poor. At least 50 children came together with the adult women and enjoyed the sharing of food given by the NS alumni and students.
