ALUMNI HOMECOMING 2009 AT ST. JAMES CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
Reminiscence that brought fun, laughters and joy for every alumni member of St. James Catholic High School was made possible last December 27, 2009. The Silver Jubilarians, batch 1984 and golden Jubilarians, batch 1959 spearheaded this year’s Alumni Gathering. This year’s theme:” Pagbalik, Pag-isa kag Pagkinasadya sa Panahon sang Paskwa Upod kay Madre Candida” was concretely experienced when almost 500 alumni gathered at SJCHS campus and shared together what was in store for them prepared by batches ’84 and ’59. The morning event began with a Eucharistic Celebration officiated by Fr. Ralph Mestosamente, CICM of batch 1989. After the mass was a colorful and exciting caravan at every designated route.
Then followed a program which was opened by a talk given by Sr. Teresa Yasa, F.I., Alumni Coordinator of Philippine Province, about Mother Candida and her canonization that had surely evoked everyone’s devotion to Mother Foundress. There was also a showcase of talent from each batch, children of the alumni. Even the SJCHS faculty and staff showed their dancing prowess.
During the Alumni Night, more alumni came. They spent the night dancing, conversing and reminiscing all the memories they spent at their beloved Alma Mater.
May the coming alumni event be as fruitful as this year’s Alumni Homecoming!
